Hope in the Valley Conference
June 21-22,2024
“I remember looking over a deep valley, where a little village was nestled between a range of beautiful mountains. And even though the sun was shining up above, those beautiful mountains were so high that the village was in shadows.
I remember thinking, "I would never want to live there." But people do live in valleys like that every day, where you can see the sun, but not feel its warmth.
You know there’s hope, if only because you can see the beauty of the mountains, but you spend most of the day living in the shadows. Hope only comes in small glimpses. And when the little patches of sunlight come, you have to cling to them. You have to sit in the sun when it’s there.
We want the Hope in the Valley Conference to be a moment of sunshine in a valley of shadows for women who have lost a spouse to death or divorce. We want to provide hope in that valley."
