CLIENT ADVOCATE

We are looking for a Client Advocate to take on the role of cheerleader, coordinator and champion of the ladies who are actively engaged in achieving their goals to reach independence including those who are walking through the Side-by-Side Program. This role will directly touch the lives of these women and children, through phone calls, emails and in-person opportunities, as well as managing the recruitment, training and support of the key Side-by-Side volunteers. Client Advocate duties include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating actions required to meet the client’s goals and plans. 

Reports to: Assistant Director
Employment Type: Full time, nonexempt
Hourly Rate: $17-21 per hour


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client Advocate works one-on-one with ladies in Engage Status, including Side-by-Side Participants and their care team to ensure their success in reaching their goals. They connect participants with personal mentors, financial mentors, professional counselors, and other key practical advisors to move them towards independent living. General day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Timely delivery and documentation of client services in Casebook

    • Initial assessments and consent 

    • Weekly service-linked progress notes, 

    • Care Team contact notes, 

    • Monthly summary notes, and

    • Additional service or support plans

  • Analyze client data on a 3 month basis 

    • to determine successes and areas for improvement; 

    • to create related program improvement plans with client; 

    • to set graduation date

  • Recruitment, training and support of the Side-by-Side Volunteers including 

    • Personal Mentors

    • Financial Mentors

    • Practical Advisors

    • One-time volunteers for moving, court support, childcare, and other roles as needed

  • Report program metrics, operations data, and pertinent program data to the Director(s) on a weekly basis

  • Assist in fundraising efforts during special campaigns 

    • Invitations to special events


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Bachelor’s degree required, and 3-5 years experience in a relevant field

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting

  • Natural leadership and organizational skills

  • Experience with managing people through difficult/emotional situations

  • Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for details

  • Strong verbal as well as written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Comfortable working within emotional situations but able to keep a clear head

  • A healthy dose of discernment
